Master in Industrial Chemistry

The Department Council recommended the approval of the Master’s Program in Industrial Chemistry in its nineteenth meeting (19/1442) dated 15/08/1442 AH, as endorsed by the Dean of the College under memorandum No. (9/44/2/66952) dated 08/09/1442 AH. Subsequently, the College Council recommended the approval of the program in its seventeenth meeting (17/1442) dated 07/09/1442 AH, and the recommendation was formally approved by His Excellency, the University President, under memorandum No. (66792/38 2/س) dated 08/09/1442 AH

Program Information

Mission:

To prepare distinguished graduates in scientific research and able to compete in the labor market and graduate studies, and active in community development.                                                                                                                                               

Objectives:

  1. To provide students with a distinguished educational experience in industrial chemistry, integrating advanced theoretical knowledge with practical and applied skills.                                                                                                                                           
  2. To prepare graduates for professional careers and the labor market by enhancing their scientific expertise, personal competencies, and adherence to ethical standards.                                                                                                                                        
  3. To develop independent and critical thinking to enable students to take initiative, engage in scientific research, and address emerging challenges in industrial chemistry with confidence and scientific rigor.                                                                                                               
  4. To foster community engagement and sustainable development through effective communication, social responsibility, and the incorporation of sustainability principles in education and practice.

1- To demonstrate a strong understanding of fundamental chemical theories and their applications in industry.
2- To describe the chemical and mechanical properties of materials and assess their behavior under industrial conditions.

Admission Requirements

1- University requirements:

2- Department requirements: 
The applicant must hold a bachelor degree in one of the follwoings fields:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
  • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry
     
Graduation requirements

The student must complete a total of 33 credit hours (30 credit hours of coursework + 3 credit hours for the graduation research project).
