Committee of Safety and Occupational Health

Committee Duties
  • To monitor the implementation and the effectiveness of health and safety regulations in the Chemistry department.
  • To make recommendations and take appropriate actions regarding health and safety rules in the department.
  • To recommend any safety procedures, such as control of chemicals, safety for staff, students and visitors.
  • To issue regulations that grantee the safety of each individual in the department and laboratories.
  • To take appropriate measures to create a safe work environment for all employees, students and visitors.
  • To ensure that the issued regulations have been implemented appropriately in the department and laboratories.
  • To update the central occupational health and safety committee on regular basis.
  • To monitor the effectiveness of the Occupational health and safety regulations.
  • To take appropriate actions and make suggestions in relation to safety regulations.
  • To give lectures and workshops to raise safety awareness among staff members and students.
  • To write an annual report and update the head of the department.
