Prof. Dr. Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Amari
Member of the Saudi Shura Council since Rabi' al-Awwal 1442 AH. He is a member of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the same council. He held several positions, namely: Vice-Rector of King Khalid University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research from Safar 1439 AH until Rabi' al-Awwal 1442 AH, and before that, General Supervisor of the Scholarship Administration.
He was the Deputy Dean of Admissions and Registration, and before that, Head of the Biology Department at the university.
He was appointed to King Khalid University in 1421 AH as a teaching assistant, then he was sent to the United Kingdom and obtained a master's degree in 2003 AD and a doctorate in 2006 AD in biotechnology and environmental pollution from the University of Aberdeen.
He worked on many scientific committees and councils, most notably Secretary of the University Council, Chairman of the Scientific Council, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for International Cooperation, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Teaching Assistants and Lecturers, and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Scholarships. He participated in many courses, seminars and conferences inside and outside the Kingdom.
He has more than 100 scientific research papers in the field of microbiology published in distinguished scientific journals with a high impact factor. He also wrote four scientific books and discovered and recorded (15) new scientific genetic discoveries, as well as the discovery of (4) new medical compounds, and the discovery of new biological materials that can be used in biological resistance.
