"Laboratory Safety and Security" event
The College of Science Club, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Student Activities and in partnership with the College's Occupational Health and Safety Committee, organized the "Safety and Safety in Laboratories" event in the College of Science lobby on Tuesday 3/28/1445 AH. The event included a comprehensive presentation on safety precautions and guidelines in laboratories, presented by His Excellency the Chairman of the College's Occupational Health and Safety Committee, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fouda, in which he explained the importance of adhering to safety and security conditions inside laboratories. He explained the most important mechanisms followed for this, the signs and signals related to safety inside laboratories, and the classification of materials and their dangers... The event was accompanied by an exhibition in which Dr. Muhammad Turki Abdul Samee from the Biology Department and Dr. Omair Al-Qahtani from the Chemistry Department participated, where they reviewed the most important safety tools in the laboratories of the various college departments and how to use them. Publications containing the most important signs and signals related to safety and the dangers of materials were distributed. The event was attended by approximately 60 students from all departments of the college, who expressed their happiness at the college's presentation of this important event, through which they learned about the most important safety precautions inside laboratories. At the end of the event, His Excellency the participating faculty members accompanied the students On a tour to see the safety precautions in some of the college's laboratories.
