The College of Science is pleased to announce the start of preparations for the summer training program for male and female college students for the year 1441 AH.

 

The program is an initiative that seeks to achieve the vision and mission of the College of Science, which serves the university's vision and mission, the Kingdom's 2030 vision and the national transformation program that emphasizes the importance of supporting education to contribute to advancing development and the national economy.

The program is a six-week intensive training in a country outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the summer period of the academic year 1441 AH. The program contains 162 to 216 training hours at an average of 27 hours per week for each male and female student - the program includes extensive training in the English language and programs in entrepreneurship, self-development, and academic training related to students.

 

Conditions for entering into the trade-off:

1- The student exceeded a total of 62 hours at least by the end of the first semester of the year 1441 AH.

2- Students of the fourth and even seventh level students are allowed to apply for the program.

3- That the male / female student not be registered for the summer semester of this year.

4- Written approval of the student’s guardian.

5- That the male or female student has not participated in the training program before.

 

Criteria for differentiation:

1-  60% of the cumulative average by the end of the first semester of the academic year 1440/1441 AH

2-  30% of the STEP language test score provided by the National Center for Measurement. Students are encouraged to quickly register for STEP through the website

3-  10% pass the personal interview.

Submission method:

1- Fill out and upload the required forms via this link: https://forms.gle/M2UUk74HreKkcmic6  and   No later than 10/7/1441.

2- He will not pay attention to the requests that will be sent after this deadline.

3- Submit the original English language test certificate for the supervisors at the personal interview, in case the student nominates for the interview.

4- The date of the personal interview will be determined through text messages to those who meet the criteria for preference.

5- After the announcement of the comparison, the pledge will be signed for the student / male guardian.

Definition of the program:

The program is an initiative that seeks to achieve the Vision and Mission of the College of Science which serves the vision and mission of the university and the vision of the Kingdom 2030 and the national transformation program which emphasizes the importance of supporting education to contribute to the advancement of development and the national economy.

The program is intensive training for six weeks in a country outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (one of the countries of Europe or America or Australia) during the summer school year 1439/1440 AH. The program contains 162 to 216 hours of training 27 hours per week for each student - The program includes intensive training in English language and programs in entrepreneurship and creative thinking in solving problems and identify the latest technologies related to specialization (chemistry - physics - biology The program will also provide field visits to companies, factories, laboratories and leading laboratories in specialization.

 

Conditions of entry into the trade-off:

 

  1.   The student / student exceeds at least 62 hours at the end of the second semester of the year 1439/1440 H.
  2.   Students of the fifth level and up to the seventh level are allowed to compete in the program.
  3.   The student / student should not be registered for the summer semester of this year
  4.   Approval of the student's guardian

 

Criteria for differentiation:

 

  •   60% of the cumulative rate after the end of the first semester of the academic year 1439/1440 H
  •   30% for the STEP language test provided by the National Centre for Measurement.
  •   10% pass the personal interview

 

Method of submission:

 

  1.   Make a copy and fill in the required forms via this link: Download and fill the forms. 
  2.   The completed forms and a copy of the test certificate of measuring the English language shall be sent by e-mail: aawwad@kku.edu.sa, no later than 1/7/1440 H.
  3.   The appointment will be determined through text messages for those who meet the criteria of differentiation.
  4.   After the nomination, the original test certificate of measuring the English language must be delivred to the unit guidance and a pledge will be signed by the student and the guardian.

The Chemistry Department invites you to attend an open lecture entitled "Radiation Chemistry and Justice".

Training courses in Safety and Protection

The Chemistry Department is organizing training courses in Safety and Protection. The first course will start on Tuesday 1st Muharram 1439H for the students of CHEM101 (Sections: 1454 and 1455). The training will be held in the Study Hall number 4, Building C. The schedule for the other sections of Chem101 will be announced later by SMS.

According to the instruction of His Excellency the Minister of Education (No. 38732851 issued on 16–05–1438 AH), the instruction of Excellency King Khalid University President (No. 4173 issued on 23–05–1438 AH) emphasizes on the necessity to use the official electronic mail of the university, which ends with (@kku.edu.sa), by all King Khalid University employees in all work communications, inside or outside the university transactions, instead of using personal electronic mail accounts at Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, and other electronic mails.

Not using the official electronic mail of the university as instructed above is considered a violation of the previous instruction that is authorized by the stated decisions of ministers council for electronic transactions.

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at King Khalid University (KKU), has announced the external transfer period for the second semester of the academic year 1437–1438 AH, which will start on Sunday 01–05–1438 AH, and will last until Tuesday 03–05–1438 AH.

 

Transfer Requirements:

  • Internal Transfer Request Form must be submitted through the website of Deanship of Admission and Registration (Academia)

  • The Internal Transfer includes the following options:

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at King Khalid University (KKU), has announced the external transfer period for the second semester of the academic year 1437–1438 AH, which will start on Tuesday 26–04–1438 AH, and will last until Monday 02–05–1438 AH.

 

External Transfer Requirements:

  • External Transfer Request Form must be submitted through the website of Deanship of Admission and Registration (Academia)

  • The Request Form must be filled online, and the student is responsible for the accuracy of the entered data

  • Attach the following documents in (PDF) format:

    • A certified Transfer Form by the Deanship of Admission and Registration in the university that the student is currently enrolled in

    • Full student’s Academic Record (one original copy and two certified copies)

    • A copy of the high school certificate

    • A copy of the National Identity Card.

  • The student should follow-up the status of the Request Form through the same website

  • All contacts with applicants will be via text messages.

 

General Conditions for Accepting External Transfer Application:

  • The student must be a Saudi, or from a Saudi mother

  • The preparation year (if there is one) must be completed and the specialization must be chosen

  • All requests will be treated according to the capacity of the department, and preference among students will be according to their Grade Point Average (GPA)

  • The student GPA must be for more than two semesters and less than four semesters

  • The total commitment to the deadline and the place of the transfer

  • The student must pass any test (if there is any) that the college or the department may require

  • The Graduation year from the high school should not exceed five years.

 

In Case of Acceptance:

  • Only the regular study period will be counted for the student

  • The previous courses before the external transfer request will not be included in the new student’s GPA.

 

Note:

Any wrong information that is given by the student will null the Transfer Request Form and void the future transfer requests.

 

 

The Deanship of Graduate Studies at King Khalid University has announced the beginning of receiving applications to join available graduate programs for the next academic year 1438–1439 AH. This announcement includes both male and female students.

 

Application submission will be available through the electronic portal (Application for Graduate Programs). It will start on Sunday 26–031438 AH up to Saturday 09–041438 AH according to the following conditions:
