Committee of Academic Development and Quality


Committee Duties

  1. To establish the quality culture in the department.

  2. Overseeing the strategic plan for the department and follow up their implementation.

  3. Implementation and follow-up the activities and academic accreditation in the department.

  4. Propose goals and learning outcomes of the programs (BS and MS) department, as well as suggest ways and means to achieve those goals, and different methods of assessment to measure the efficiency of output and the achievement of these goals.

  5. Supervising the preparation and processing of the curriculum files.

  6. Define the mechanisms of improvement possible and propose the necessary projects.

  7. To meet the accreditation teams from outside the university as well as committees quality from within the university, and who visits the department from time to time.

  8. Supervise the process of self-evaluation of the different programs section and prepare self-study reports for academic programs.

  9. Contributing with a high quality faculty in the dissemination of accreditation and quality culture, organizing educational lectures, workshops and a week of quality and academic accreditation, attending these events.

  10. Document the efforts and results of academic accreditation in the department and sent to the head of department procedures.

  11. Collecting data and information on an ongoing basis for academic accreditation requirements and quality activities and applied it in the department.

  12. Hold regular meetings to discuss how to achieve academic programs to adopt requirements.

  13. Perform other tasks assigned by the Commission regarding the academic accreditation and quality and development activities and their applications.
