Duties of Program Coordinator

  1. Carry out tasks requested by the Department's Committee of Academic Planning and Curriculum or the Program Administrator.

  2. Follow-up the implementation of the academic program through:

    1. Verifying that the students have achieved the expected learning outcomes of the academic program.

    2. Verifying the implementation of the recommended teaching strategies stated in the course specifications.

    3. Verifying the implementation of the recommended methods for student evaluation stated in the course specifications.

    4. Following-up, with the instructor of the course, on interpreting abnormal student scores.

  3. Examine the difficulties that face the implementation of the academic program, and submit a report to the Director of the Department's Committee of Academic Planning and Curriculum.

  4. Submit proposals related to the development of courses to the Director of the Department's Committee of Academic Planning and Curriculum.

  5. Prepare and discuss the annual report of the academic program with the faculty members, and submit it along with its recommendations to the Director of the Department's Committee of Academic Planning and Curriculum.

  6. Collect statistical data related to the academic program, and submit a report to the Department Chair.

  7. Examine training needs of the faculty members, and submit a report to the Department Chair.

Duties of Course Coordinator

  1. Carry out tasks related to the course and those requested by the Program Coordinator or the Department's Committee of Academic Planning and Curriculum.

  2. Follow-up the implementation of the course specifications by all instructors of the course.

  3. Determine the training needs related to the course and its instructors.

  4. Consult the faculty members, who are related to the field of the course, with regard to possible improvements in the course.

  5. Submit proposals related to the course development to the Program Coordinator.

  6. Prepare the course file in cooperation with the course instructors, and submit it to the Department's Committee of Academic Development and Quality.
